CIF 2019 League Awards

With the Duke City Gladiators hosting the Salina Liberty for Champions Bowl V this weekend in Albuquerque, NM, the Champions Indoor Football league is pleased to announce the following team and individual player awards for the 2019 season as voted upon by the CIF Board of Directors.

Darlene Jones Franchise of the Year - Sioux City Bandits

This Award is given to the best overall team during the 2019 season. Factors to consider are; attendance, sales, public relations, marketing, efforts to improve the CIF as a whole, performance on the field, community involvement, participation on league matters, and overall representation of the CIF.

CIF Executive of the Year (tie) - Stephanie Tucker, Amarillo Venom and Craig Tirey, Oklahoma Flying Aces

This award is given to the CIF Team Owner, General Manager, or Front Office Employee that performed the best during the 2019 season. Factors to consider are: management, team guidance, participation on league matters, sales, leadership, efforts to improve the CIF as a whole, and overall representation of their respective team and the CIF.

Best Fan Base - Omaha Beef

This award is given to the team with the most attended games, fans that showed the most enthusiasm, character, energy, and overall appreciation for their team.

Best Game Day Operations - Amarillo Venom

This award is given to the team that did the best job with game presentation including: half-time shows, giveaways, music, on-field promotions, etc.

Best Dance Team - Omaha Beef

This award is given to the team that had the most talented and attractive cheer/dance team. Factors to consider: uniforms, class, routines, and crowd interaction.

Best Community Relations - Duke City Gladiators

This award is given tot he team that exemplified outstanding service and dedication to their surrounding community.

Best Media Relations - Omaha Beef

This award is given to the team that had an outstanding performance in media relations for the 2019 CIF season.

CIF Coach of the Year - Heron O'Neal, Salina Liberty

This award is given to the coach that did the best overall job with his team both on and off of the field.

CIF Most Valuable Player - Nate Davis, Amarillo Venom

This award is given to the player deemed most valuable during the 2019 CIF season. The player's statistics and impact on the success of his team should be considered. (All positions are eligible.)

CIF Offensive Player of the Year - Nate Davis, Amarillo Venom

This award is given tot the player that performed the best and had the most impact on the offensive side of the ball. (QB, RB, WR OL)

CIF Defensive Player of the Year - Ben Pister, Sioux City Bandits

This award is given to the player that performed the best and had the most impact on the defensive side of the ball. (DL, LB, DB)

CIF Special Teams Player of the Year - Jacob Felton, Amarillo Venom

This award is given to the player that performed the best and had the most impact on special teams. (K, KR)

CIF Rookie of the Year - Rayjohn Ramsey, Oklahoma Flying Aces

This award is given to the first year CIF player that performed the best and had the most impact on either the offensive or defensive side of the ball.

Champions Bowl V is Saturday, July 13th at Tingley Coliseum as the Duke City Gladiators host the Salina Liberty. Kickoff is at 6:05pm MDT.
